Thanksgiving is a day of feasting, remembering, rejoicing, and looking to the promise of the future. Thanks to the many citizens who bring us so close to our goal by pledging their money and lending their name to the Legacy Park.
Thanks to the many more who will today join the growing ranks of those determined to make Legacy Park a reality for generations to come. Thanks to those who have worked non-stop this last year in the city to make this dream a reality.
Thanks to the many all over the state who have caught the dream and the importance of this great venture. Thanks to the Malibu Coastal Land Conservancy who has offered a $500,000 matching grant in this month ending November 30. So make your donation twice as powerful by turning each of your dollars into two.
Thanks to the Spirit of Malibu that never gives up. Malibu has met the impossible challenge in the past and will do the impossible now. Can we raise $500,000 to match that offer in half a month with only one more week to go? Think of it! That would be one million in two weeks. We have a past record for doing the impossible.
I give special thanks to my three grown children who in memory of a place that is so dear to them, have donated and seen their pledge doubled by the matching grant. So if you haven’t sent in your money, waste no time, do it now or make an additional grant. Let’s together raise a million by November 30. And spread the word to your friends.
