The City of Malibu posted a job opening for a media information officer on its website last week.
Olivia Damavandi, the city’s media information officer since the job was first created in July 2011 and a former assistant editor for The Malibu Times, is reportedly leaving her post next Thurs., March 28.
The media officer is “responsible for the management and development of City-wide communications and public relations effort; acts as City spokesperson with media representatives; researches, prepares, edits and disseminates public information through the City’s website, social media, promotional flyers, newsletters, brochures and press kits,” according to the listing.
