Longtime Malibu resident John Paul DeJoria recently made a $10,000 donation to the MalibuGreenMachine for its highway enhancement project. DeJoria is the co-founder and CEO of professional haircare product company John Paul Mitchell Systems.
The project aims to restore the portion of Pacific Coast Highway from Cross Creek Road to Malibu Canyon Road for safety and beautification purposes. Though it is at a “make it or break it” stage, the GreenMachine has secured Caltrans, environmental and safety approvals with an anticipated construction start date of Sept. 25.
GreenMachine President Jo Giese said, “We can’t thank the DeJorias enough for stepping up and becoming PCH Angels at this critical time.”
