Allen Martin Linden, 82, died in Toronto, Ont., on Aug. 23. He was born in the same city on Oct. 7, 1934, to an immigrant family. He is a former justice of the Canadian Federal Court of Appeal and distinguished law professor. He was also named an Officer of the Order of Canada.
Linden received the Doctor of Science of Law (J.S.D.) degree from University of California at Berkeley. He later taught at the School of Law at Malibu’s Pepperdine University. Linden was also a member of the Malibu Film Society.
His first wife, Marjorie Anthony Linden, was a longtime Malibu resident until her death in 2013.
Linden is survived by his second wife, Joanna, his brother Sidney, three children and many grandchildren.Â
