The Malibu Search and Rescue Team responded to two incidents involving a vehicle over the side of Kanan Road on Thursday, May 23.
The first, which occurred in the afternoon, involved a vehicle falling several hundred feet over the side of the road. The team confirmed an injured male driver was airlifted by the LA County Fire Department, Air Operations, to a trauma center.
MSAR responded to a similar incident around 10:30 p.m., approximately half a mile from the afternoon event. The team shared on social media that an adult female driver “was walked up the hillside” by the fire department and taken to the trauma center for further evaluation.
