Dear Mayor Kearsley:
My name is Kristine Hawkins, my son is PFC Matthew Cramer and he is sponsored by the Rey Cano family of Malibu. I wanted to give you all my heartfelt thanks for all you’re doing for our families so far away. I was very choked up when I read the article about the City of Malibu adopting the 101st. Matthew sent me a copy of the article and I immediately sent a copy to Bettye Bowerman.
I send Matthew boxes as often as I can, but the extra help the Cano family gives is so greatly appreciated. It’s nice to know there are still people out there that are willing to open their hearts to someone they don’t even know. I received e-mails and a phone call from Rey Cano and we had a wonderful conversation.
