[Update: 7 a.m.] Pacific Coast Highway is fully reopened in Western Malibu following an overnight closure for an accident investigation.
[UPDATE: 10:10 p.m.] An adult male pedestrian was fatally struck by a vehicle on Pacific Coast Highway, according to Lt. Lecrivain with the Malibu/Lost Hills Sheriff’s station.
“The drive and passenger stayed at the scene of the accident and attempted to render aid,” Lecrivain said.
Both eastbound lanes of PCH are still closed and traffic is being diverted through Guernsey Drive as deputies continue the investigation.

Deputies responded to a fatal vehicle collision involving a pedestrian near Busch Drive on Pacific Coast Highway, according to the Malibu/Lost Hills Sheriff’s station.
In a release from the station, deputies responded to the scene of the accident at approximately 9:06 p.m. and upon arrival, determined the traffic collision involved a fatality.
Eastbound lanes of PCH are closed while the scene of the accident is under investigation.
