As education leaders for our Malibu elementary schools, we are writing to ask you to make sure all children have the best education possible. While there continues to be concern about where money goes and why, we are asking families to give. We want to make sure that all students who walk in our doors each day have as many programs and options available to them as possible.Â
By giving to the Santa Monica-Malibu Education Foundation (SMMEF) and your school’s PTA, you ensure a wonderful learning environment for all our children.
What does each organization fund?
Our PTAs fund instructional materials and supplies, field trips, after-school programs, science and art supplies, physical education equipment, campus beautification, technology upgrades, and many other vital elements that make our schools great.
SMMEF donations pay for music, theatre, visual arts programs, instructional assistants in the classrooms, the Planet Bravo technology program and enrichment programs for our kindergarten through fifth-grade students.Â
Now is a great time to give to the foundation and double your donation. The Franklin Elementary School PTA has just offered a $200,000 match to all donations toward next year’s programs.
