The Malibu Playhouse kicks off its 2014-15 season with Alfred Hitchcook’s “The 39 Steps.” The comic thriller will open on Oct. 18, with preview performances on Oct. 16-17. “39 Steps” tells the story of double-crossing secret agents, with chases and beautiful women. Derek Manson, Emily Goss, Mike Funt and Dieterich Gray are the four actors who will portray more than 130 characters.
