First-graders at Our Lady of Malibu School participated in a tide pool field trip. They received a marine biology lesson from Doctor Gini and Tom Vandergon about disappearing sea stars.
The students learned that over the course of the last three months, the entire population of sea stars has been wiped out throughout the coast due to an epidemic. The lesson took place at Latigo Beach.
