An earthquake centered in the Santa Monica Mountains rattled the Westside on Sunday evening, registering a magnitude of 4.2.
The quake occurred 3 to 4 kilometers below Earth’s surface near Brentwood and was felt from Malibu to Redondo Beach.
The US Geological Survey initially reported the quake at 3.7, but that number was increased to 4.2 hours after the temblor hit at 7:36 p.m. No damage was reported.
