A 25-year-old man was rescued from a car that went over the side in the area of Encinal Canyon and Mulholland Highway in Malibu Thursday morning, according to information from the Malibu Search and Rescue (SAR) Team.
A coordinated effort by Malibu SAR, together with the Los Angeles County Fire Department, LACo Fire Air Ops, California Highway Patrol and McCormick Ambulance Service responded to a call in the pre-dawn hours of Thursday, April 14 and located the car in the canyon, SAR described in a social media post.
The male, who had sustained unspecified injuries, was extricated from the vehicle and taken by helicopter to a trauma center.
Malibu SAR is a team of trained volunteers which includes LA County Sheriff’s Department reserve deputies.
