A Malibu High School college counselor is a victim of the Thomas fire in Ventura County.
Linh Nguyen lost her home this week in the days long blaze that forced more than 100,000 residents to evacuate. Nguyen is unhurt—she was able to escape safely with her husband and seven-month-old baby daughter Matilda. However, in the emergency, the family fled their home with little more than diapers and a few baby bottles. A Paypal account has been set up after many in the community asked how they can help. Immediate needs are said to be clothes, especially for Matilda, and a car seat. Nguyen says she lost everything in the fire.
