The Santa Monica-Malibu Unified School District (SMMUSD) is currently searching for qualified candidates to join its Financial Oversight Committee.
The district is seeking qualified candidates who can bring “a depth of business and/or financial expertise to the committee,” according to a SMMUSD press release.
The FOC meets on Thursdays once a month at the District Office in Santa Monica at 7 p.m. The Committee consists of 11 members, appointed by the Board of Education for up to three-year terms.
Application forms may be found through the Superintendent’s Office or via the SMMUSD website.
Applications are being accepted online, via fax or through conventional mail from now through Friday, June 6. Interested applicants can mail their applications to the District Office at 1651 16th Street, Santa Monica, CA 90404, fax them to 310.581.1138 or email them to Sarah Wahrenbrock at swahrenbrock@smmusd.org.
