A male motorcyclist was injured in a crash on Pacific Coast Highway near Cross Creek Road in Malibu on Thursday afternoon.
The man appeared to be in his 30s and was being taken via ambulance to a hospital. The extent of his injuries were not yet clear and it did not appear as though other vehicles were involved in the accident.
The crash was reported at approximately 1:10 p.m., authorities said. Both westbound lanes of traffic were shut down temporarily as the victim was being treated. He was taken via ambulance to Pepperdine University to be airlifted to a nearby hospital, an officer at the scene said. Eastbound traffic was moving.
