On Friday, Malibu took a moment to appreciate art.
The Malibu Country Mart hosted Art Break Day, sponsored by local nonprofit Art is Moving, to help residents “discover the positive impacts of art,” organizers said.
The free, six-hour program was held on the lawn in the middle of the Malibu Civic Center and encouraged artists of all ages to take a “break” and get in touch with their creative sides.
The event was just one of several Art Break Days celebrated in 40 locations around the world on Sept. 1.
