The investigation, launched on Monday after a body was found on Broad Beach, has been closed.

The remains of Craig Thomas Yabuki, a 52 year old Asian male, according to an official at the Los Angeles County Department of Coroner, were found partially submerged on the beach Monday morning. Yabuki was pronounced dead at 6:25 a.m. He was born on December 27, 1964 and was from West Hills. The death was a suicide caused by a gunshot to the head. 

The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s homicide detectives, as well as the LA County Department of Coroner, had been investigating the discovered body since Monday, July 10.
