Two more storms appear on the horizon for Malibu. 

Tuesday night … rain will develop.

Wednesday we will see heavy rain … maybe an atmospheric river. 

Three inches of rain possible from that one. 

Thursday and Friday will see a weak storm system arrive … scattered showers.

Another big storm may be on tap for Sunday.

Malibu high school principal Chelli Nye says she is resigning.

In an email sent to Malibu High families Friday … Dr. Nye said she has decided to embark on a new journey … 

And she says it is with a heavy heart that this will be her last year at Malibu High.

Nye says she is committed to Malibu High and a strong finish for this year to ensure a solid and smooth transition to new leadership. 

The district has not issued any statement. 

Nye has been at Malibu High for a two years and a half. 

The school has had a succession of principals over the past decade.

From the KBUU sports desk …

This weekend Filip Kurial qualified for six different events at the Spring Junior Olympics to be held at the Rose Bowl Aquatics Center in Pasadena in two weeks.

Kurial was swimming for the Malibu Seawolves.

Kurial qualified in the 50, 100, 200 and 500 yard Freestyle swimming events … plus the 50 and 100 yard backstroke races.

The swimmer also broke his own team records in the 50 Fly, 50 Free, 100 Free, 50 Back and 100 Back … and set new team records in the 200 Free and 100 Fly.

The Malibu Seawolves swim team were at a meet this weekend at Camarillo High School.

Spring quarter swimming starts today.
