Soccer Stingers

Malibu's American Youth Soccer Association on Sept. 12 celebrated its opening day, in which games were held throughout the day at Bluffs Park, Webster Elementary and Malibu High School. More than 850 soccer players ages 4 1/2 to 19 participated in more than 100 teams. AYSO is an all volunteer, nonprofit organization that will hold training courses throughout the year for volunteer coaches, referees and player development.
