Assemblymember Richard Bloom will be hosting an Open House and Holiday Food Drive on Wednesday, Dec. 18Â at his Santa Monica District Office.Â
The office, at 2800 28th Street, Ste. 150, in Santa Monica, will be open from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Free parking is available on site and light snacks will be provided.
In addition to meeting Bloom and his staff, the event is designed to help the less fortunate in the areas Bloom represents. Non-perishable food items collected will be donated to the Westside shelter and Hunger Coalition, the Westside Food Bank and the Jewish and Family Services (JFS) SOVA Community Food and Research Program.Â
JFS SOVA is especially in need of protein items. Some ideas for non-perishable proteins are canned tuna, chicken or salmon, as well as peanut butter or powdered milk.
