Heroes of the Woolsey Fire—those who stayed behind to save their homes and those of their neighbors, who provided food, water and supplies to people “on the inside” and those who helped their neighbors with household goods, lodging, support and information to get them back on their feet as soon as possible—were honored by the Malibu Dolphin Charitable Foundation with the support of sponsoring organizations, The Malibu Times and the Malibu Foundation.
The Sunday event, held at the Malibu Farmers Market, featured the music of Deejay Rainbow and drew over 150 Woolsey Heroes, who received a Dolphin Award Certificate, a Dolphin pin, vouchers to spend at the market and other goodies. Woolsey Heroes (listed on page A8) who were unable to attend are invited to pick up their Dolphin certificates and pins at The Malibu Times office (3864 Las Flores Canyon Road) or contact frontdesk@malibutimes.com
