We would like to express our sincere gratitude for everyone’s amazing efforts on behalf of the “NO LNG” benefit at the Malibu Pier. Everyone did a magnificent job planning, sourcing, orchestrating, organizing, and preparing everything! The turnout of families, children and the surfing community as well as local businesses was absolutely incredible and the vibe was so optimistic, which was a wonderful affirmation for all the volunteers who worked so hard to help make the “NO LNG” Paddle-Out/Pancake Breakfast event a huge success. Rarely does a community come together with such spirit and in such a noble, organized and heartfelt fashion. Our hearts soared watching everyone paddle out from the pier and it made us proud to be part of such a remarkable community.

There are so many we would like to thank:

The ambitious volunteers who worked for weeks to prepare for the Paddle Out Event; Chefs Richard (Monrose Catering), Akasha, Neil, Alan, and Trudi for donating their time and talent to cook those delicious pancakes; Veronica Brady and Jolene Dodson for their passion, commitment, dedication and focus; PMK/HBH for orchestrating worldwide press for the event; Host Laird Hamilton and all the surfers and paddlers who set aside the day for a good cause; the California State Parks and Pier Concessions; the Los Angeles County Beaches and Harbors; and the City of Malibu; the Lifeguards for creating a safe event for all; BBI Displays for their extraordinary floating sign; Green-i for their hip poster, sign and T-shirt designs; Larry and Kim for doing a splendid job organizing all the young children building sandcastles on the beach; the drummers for generating rhythm and spirit for the paddlers; Event 11 for coordinating the day with style and panache; the Hawaiian dancers and musicians for greeting everyone on the pier with aloha; our event donors for their support and all the fabulous raffle items-what a bounty you provided; and to CCPN and Coastal Advocates for continuing to fight the good fight for our community and the health and safety of our children.

You all have seriously activated our community in the last eight weeks with our succession of “NO LNG” events. Hopefully, we will stop this project or at the very least bring a higher level of scrutiny to all concerned.

Our deepest thanks to all,

Keely and Pierce Brosnan
