Look out for worsening traffic around the Civic Center from Thursday through the end of April.
From 7 a.m. – 4 p.m. Thursday, March 9 to Sunday, March 19, portions of Cross Creek Road in Malibu will be reduced to one lane, due to construction on areas of the Civic Center Wastewater Treatment Facility pipeline network, the City of Malibu reported. For those 10 days, traffic will flow in both directions with flaggers alternating traffic.
Then, from 7 a.m. – 4 p.m., March 20 through the end of April, Cross Creek Road traffic will flow in one direction, southbound onto PCH. There will be no access to Cross Creek from PCH; detours will take traffic up Webb Way to Civic Center Way, behind the Civic Center area.Â
City officials said all Civic Center businesses had been made aware of the traffic disruption and events such as the Malibu Farmers Market were planned to continue as usual.
