Traffic along Pacific Coast Highway and the canyon roads is proceeding as usual as of 3 p.m. Saturday morning without gridlock, according to deputy Steve Difonzo at the Malibu/Lost Hills Sheriff’s Station. A 10-mile stretch of the 405 freeway has been closed since Friday night, and officials had raised the possibility of gridlock stretching down to Pacific Coast Highway and the canyon roads in Malibu.
