State contractors have removed debris generated by the Woolsey and Hill fires from 441 properties in Los Angeles and Ventura counties.
That’s just below half of the 906 parcels in both counties so far determined to be eligible for the state program.
So far … contractors have removed nearly 181,000 tons of burned metal, concrete, ash and soil since operations began on February 6.
Many of the construction crews are preparing to wrap up operations in Malibu in the next week or two and move up to the devastation in paradise.
That Northern California city was largely wiped out by the campfire at the same time Malibu was on fire.
The state sent most of the demolition crews to Malibu first … while roads in other critical infrastructure were repaired in Paradise and Magalia.
