The John L. Webster Elementary School Parent Teacher Association proudly serves nearly 350 students. We take great pride in their education and our school. At Webster, the children are immersed in an environment where it is made abundantly clear that everyone around them cares very deeply about their happiness and success.

As a part of our mission, the Webster PTA supports local projects that not only benefit our school, but also the entire community. For this reason, we are proud to support the Whole Foods and the Park project located in Malibu’s Civic Center.

While we are thrilled to have a Whole Foods in our backyard, we are most excited about the positive social ramifications that this project will have on our community through the inclusion of a park, a Kitchen Community Garden and a Shane’s Inspiration facility.

Webster looks forward to the Park’s Kitchen Community Learning and Sensory Garden, which we will use as an outdoor classroom and experimental play space for our “Gardening Angels” program. A program like the Kitchen Community nonprofit, which connects kids to organic foods and empowers them to make healthier choices, will have far-reaching benefits that will last a lifetime.

Our special needs community will also greatly benefit from the Shane’s Inspiration Playground. Families who currently must travel outside the City to find similarly constructed facilities will now enjoy these important benefits closer to home.

Whether it is an active park with programming for children or a small Whole Foods market to serve the needs of our local community, we believe Whole Foods and the Park will be a tremendous benefit to all in Malibu.
