The play’s the thing

Malibu Stage Company’s marvelous show, “Glorious,” this past Sunday proves with steadfast certitude that while one may find different live on-stage musical comedies in New York City or London, wherever the shows may play, one simply ain’t-a-gonna find anywhere on the planet a show that is in any way better than the state of the art production of “Glorious.”

Written by Peter Quilter and masterfully directed by Malibu’s own Ms. Diane Carroll, “Glorious,” starring Nathalie Blossom, truly deserves praise, credit, and accolades for each and every category. The acting by all players was perfect. The singing and piano playing was riotously right on. Even the costuming kept the bells of good taste clanging. Everything about the play’s performance that night was like “Wow!” And to think Malibuites have only to practically roll out of bed to enjoy true first rate theater here in town. What a great night of theater all guests experienced!
