Malibu resident Pam Litz has returned from two weeks at the 2014 Winter Olympic games in Sochi. Litz said the games were well organized, and the clear, sunny weather in Russia was reminiscent of Malibu.
A highlight of her trip was watching Charlie White and Meryl Davis’ performance as they ice-danced their way to the first U.S. gold medal in this category. She also saw Canadian Charles Hamelin take the gold in the men’s short track 1,500 meter, and Russian Victor An take it in the men’s 1,000.
This is the thirteenth Olympics for Litz, who is a veteran Olympic pin trader.
