City to Start Collecting Pieces for Student Art Show

The City of Malibu will begin to accept pieces of art made by Malibu students in grades K-12 to be featured in the sixth annual Malibu Student Art Show. The artists’ opening reception will take place in the Malibu Public Library Community Room on Friday, Feb. 6, from 5 to 8 p.m. The works will be on display Saturday, Feb. 7, from 12 to 8 p.m. Admission on both days is free.

Students may submit pieces in any medium from Jan. 26 through Feb. 3 at Malibu City Hall, 23825 Stuart Ranch Rd., or to the Michael Landon Center at Malibu Bluffs Park, 24250 Pacific Coast Hwy. The entry fee is $10 and artwork must be matted or framed.
