An unspecified number of homeowners in the Big Rock neighborhood of eastern Malibu were without water on Thursday, according to the City of Malibu.
The water main break was reported around 3 p.m., City Manager Jim Thorsen said.
Some homeowners in the “lower part of Big Rock” may still have water, but Thorsen was unsure.
Los Angeles County Waterworks District 29 was working to repair the break and the water supply should be fully restored by midnight, the city said.
