Pepperdine Director of Athletics Steve Potts announced that Troy Tanner will coach the Pepperdine women’s volleyball team at the start of their 40th season. Tanner succeeds Nina Matthies, head coach for 31 years.
Tanner is a three-time Pepperdine All-American, an NCAA champion and an Olympic gold medalist. His coaching experience includes being an assistant for the Brigham Young University men’s team when they won the NCAA championships in 1999 and 2001.
