Edward Norton just bought a home in the Malibu Colony designed by John Lautner for $11.8 million. Edward Norton is an Academy Award-winning actor who already owns in Malibu.
The property, know as the Stevens House, is 3,366 square feet and was built in 1968. The home has five bedrooms and five bathrooms, as well as 37 feet of beachfront property in the Colony, one of Malibu’s most notable older neighborhoods dating back to its early popularity as a getaway for Hollywood actors. The iconic Malibu house, made of both concrete and wood with retractable glass walls, was designed to resemble the crashing waves that can been seen from the home.Â
The seller, Michael LaFetra, bought the house in 2007 for $13.8 million and fully restored it. The home was then added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2009 and has been on and off the market for years following.Â
