The Santa Monica Mountains National Recreation Area published these photos of mountain lion P-13 with her two cubs, P-28 and P-30, eating a mule deer they’d recently killed.
The photographs are part of a remote camera system the national recreation area uses to capture images of wildlife without human involvement and were taken at Malibu Creek State Park.
The cubs, both 10 months old, are the offspring of a mountain lion that made news when she was first collared in 2009.Â
