Four drivers were arrested on Friday night in Malibu at a DUI checkpoint, two for suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol and two others for unrelated arrest warrants, according to Sgt. Stephanie Shrout of the Malibu/Lost Hills Sheriff’s station.
The checkpoint was conducted at the intersection of Pacific Coast Highway and John Tyler Drive, near Pepperdine University, from Friday at 7:30 p.m. through Saturday at 3:30 a.m.
One of the two drivers arrested for DUI was also found to be carrying a loaded firearm in their car. Authorities conducted seven sobriety tests. Fifteen drivers were cited for driving on a suspended license or without a license, Shrout said, and seven cars were impounded.Â

Another checkpoint is set for Friday, Aug. 30, at an undisclosed Malibu location.
