The Boys & Girls Club of Malibu presents the 39th Annual Malibu Chili Cook-Off over Labor Day weekend, Friday, September 3 to Monday, September 6th, 2021. BGCM is proud to bring back a Malibu tradition celebrating our unique and incredibly strong community spirit!

The event will include engaging experiences and surprises to make it a weekend full of fantastic food, drink, amusement, and fun for friends and the whole family. This year we continue with progressive sustainability efforts throughout the fair, we increase local business presence, and are creating even MORE activities for kids to enjoy, offering interactive options that cater to every attendee!

The famous Chili Cook-Off competition will feature talented contestants vying for best in show in categories featuring meat, vegetarian, or vegan recipes.

Alphapals presents a 24-foot-high rock wall which will be a highlight attraction in this year’s event and an opportunity for another great ocean view from the site. And for that traditional different pace, the Barefoot Dreams Lounge will provide a lovely CozyChic® oasis rooted in community and nature for adults to sip local beer and wines while relaxing in the shade, or soaking in some sun.

Kidd’s Jewelry Heist returns with the support of Boys & Girls Club of Malibu. Find the BGCM tent for fun, family-friendly activities all weekend long including jewelry-making, face painting, and other arts & crafts.

Event Wi-Fi will be provided by Frontier Communications.

The 2nd Annual Johnny Strange Legacy Competition will take place on Sunday, Sept 5. Open skate will also be available on the Malibu Village Skateboard Mini Ramp.

Get your limited-edition Chili Cook Off Swag! The return of signature Chili Cook Off merchandise designed by Aviator Nation will be on site. Jones WRKWR will also be showcasing and selling their cozy, limited BGCM x Jones WRKWR collection.

HELP US REDUCE PLASTIC USE! We care about the environment and our environmental impact. In 2019, our event reached its goal of ZERO WASTE. We encourage attendees to bring their own water bottle!
