A 22-year-old man was pronounced dead Sunday morning in Malibu after driving his Porsche over the side of Piuma Road.
Emergency responders were called to the scene, about three miles east of Malibu Canyon Road, at 11 a.m.
“Upon arrival, rescuers found a vehicle resting at the bottom of a canyon several hundred feet below Piuma Road,” according to the Malibu Search and Rescue Team. “A fire department paramedic was lowered to the vehicle from a rescue helicopter and he determined that there was one victim.”
A team of firefighters worked quickly to get the victim out of the sports car, but it was too late. The victim’s name has not been released.
