Malibu Relief is hosting “Giving for Thanksgiving,” an outreach made up of Malibu schools, businesses and community organizations to help families with few resources in the Malibu community.
Beginning Oct. 27 and running through Nov. 21, Malibu Relief will collect nonperishable food items in order to provide families with items needed for a Thanksgiving dinner. Distribution of the collected items will take place at the Boys & Girls Club of Malibu on Nov. 25 at 6 p.m. Last year, more than 120 bags of groceries were provided to nearly 40 families from local elementary, middle and high schools.
This year’s community partners include Boys & Girls Club of Malibu, Cafecito Organico, Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf, Juan Cabrillo Elementary, Malibu Chamber of Commerce, Malibu Middle and High Schools, Malibu Vet Clinic, Malibu Yogurt, Pepperdine University, Vintage Grocers and Webster Elementary.
