Malibu Middle School student Juliana Ball recently returned from seven weeks of equestrian training and competition in Argentina. Mentored by Fernando Martinez Zuviria, a former Argentine Olympian, Ball competed in international jumping events at Club Aleman in Buenos Aires, the Jockey Club in Rosario and the Jockey Club in Cordoba.
At the Cordoba competition, Ball placed fourth in the .9-meter jumps and fifth in the one-meter jumps.
Ball says she is looking forward to returning to Argentina to hone her skills and compete further. She trains locally in Malibu with Beth Cadwallader.
