Local Raphael Carro celebrated the opening of his Martial Arts studio in Malibu, The Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Malibu Club. Born in Sao Paulo, Brazil, Carrao has trained in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu since childhood with world-renowned masters Roberto Godoi and Roberto Tozi. His most recent honor was a Bronze medal at the 2010 Pan-American BJJ Championship in Long Beach.

The Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Malibu Club is open to students ages eight and up who are interested in improving their physical fitness and learning to defend themselves.
