Los Angeles Art Association Art Exhibit
Malibu, CA – In conjunction with the Los Angeles Art Association, 501c3 non-profit artist organization (LAAA.org), The Malibu Lumber Yard Gallery (MLY GALLERY.com), and artist & curator Seda Saar, are proud to present a group exhibition: “Perceptual Nature “ in Malibu, CA, at the Malibu Lumber Yard Gallery from April 19th to May11th. The opening reception will be on Saturday, April 19th from 5- 8 pm at the gallery.
Special live performance by artist Yana Clark: 7:00pm.
The artworks in this exhibition explore aesthetic engagement with perceptions of nature, space and sensory experiences. The LAAA artists featured in Perceptual Natureinclude
Kelly Berg, Yana Clark, Gabor Ekecs, Brigit Faustmann, Caroline Jones, Flora Kao, Kim – Kimbro, Barbara Kolo, Rebecca Hamm, Andrew Pasquella, Richard Slechta, Michael Wood. The exhibition will explore actual and perceptual nature, process and change, and arrested time and sequence – drawing connections across a variety of mediums: Photography, Painting, and Sculpture, as well as installation, performance and video. All the works on display heighten our perceptual experience of the world and the objects in it by destabilizing conceptions of nature, space and our experience through distinct and often subtle means.
The Malibu Lumber Yard Gallery is a nature inspired, eco-conscious art and design gallery located in the center of the prime-shopping destination in Malibu, CA.
Perceptual Nature will run from April 19th through May 11th.
