The fundraising arm of the Malibu Urgent Care Center, the Friends of the Malibu Urgent Care Center (FMUCC) is happy to announce the completion of the extensive repair and refurbishment of the Malibu Urgent Care Center.
We began the project because the 60- year- old building was in great need of repair and renovation. We believe the new surfaces, cabinetry, advanced trauma room, exam rooms, second bathroom, and etc., were extremely necessary. We also purchased a new state- of- the- art digital x- ray machine, installed a modernized handicap ramp and now have an outdoor seating area.
Living in Malibu, we all realize the importance of having an urgent care center close by that’s open 365 days a year. We also want it staffed by ER doctors who will meet the standards our community desires. The alternative is a long drive into Santa Monica through heavy or blocked traffic.
Our organization wishes to thank the many generous donors who made this project possible. It is through everyone’s donations we’re able to subsidize this vital community asset and ensure it will never close its doors, as so many had in the past.
