Six U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds—fighter aircrafts—flew over parts of Los Angeles County on March 4 to ring in the premiere of Marvel Studios’ latest release, “Captain Marvel.”
“This flyover is a unique moment to honor the men and women serving in the Armed Forces who are represented in ‘Captain Marvel,’” Lt. Colonel John Caldwell said in an online statement posted to the Thunderbirds website.
The squad helped inform cast and crew members during the production of the film last year.
“Captain Marvel” focuses on the story of comic book character Carol Danvers, played by actress Brie Larson.
