Malibu residents should avoid the eastbound side of the Pacific Coast Highway this Sunday due to traffic closures from the Los Angeles Marathon.

Access to the California Incline from PCH will be shut down from midnight to 9 p.m. on Sunday while the Northbound part of the California Incline at Ocean Avenue will also be shut down from midnight to 9 p.m.

Closures on Ocean Avenue include all vehicle travel between San Vicente Boulevard and Colorado Avenue, however, traffic going northbound and southbound will be accessible via Ocean Avenue at the end of  the east side of PCH.

Even though the east side ramp to and from PCH is open in both directions, cars exiting southbound PCH can only turn right (south) on Ocean Avenue.

Known as the Stadium to the Sea course, the 2014 ASICS Los Angeles Marathon starts at Dodger Stadium and finishes near the Santa Monica Pier while passing many famous sites along the way. The event is sold out and features more than 25,00 runners from all around the world.
