Anawalt, where are you?

Another gorgeous Saturday in Malibu, a free day to finally get into the garden and have some fun. Now, the only thing I need to get started is a rake, a little rose food and a screwdriver. Do it Center is just 14 miles over the hill. Not a problem. I will have everything I need and be back by noon. I grabbed my keys, purse, water jug, bananas, good strong coffee, cell phone, pepper spray, blankets, extra night flares, hiking boots, extra socks, survival food and Cat Kibble to shoo away those meandering mountain lions. Now, that should do the trick!

The motorcyclist, I’m sure, didn’t mean to cross over, coming toward me, but he did miss me and that is a good thing. The gentleman behind me was probably in a hurry on the way to a hospital or something, never applying the brake, only his horn. No problem, I’ll not let this ruin my free day. How nice of him to thank me with a fancy hand signal. As I slowly merged to the shoulder to politely let him pass, I noticed my gas gauge! Hard to describe the terror and stress of driving on gas fumes through the Santa Monica Mountains! There’s nothing like good old-fashioned fear to get me safely over that hill. Surely, someone will put a station here someday. At last, I made it to the gas station, in the nick of time! A quick fly through Do it Center and I’m all set.

Rumor has it Anawalt wants to rent the building at Cross Creek. I say, Malibu City Council, go for it! Give them a huge rent discount, free coffee, and call it a day. How about for our sake!
