Not your usual backyard visitor, this red-tailed hawk fledgling appeared in a Malibu West backyard birdbath this May, resting on one foot “in order to prevent heat loss through unfeathered skin.”
The hawk was photographed by Corina O’Rourke, whose husband Anthony wrote, “We thank Malibu residents who have abjured rat poison.”
