Both recent major Malibu fires started not far from each other, caused either through arson or out of control partying. If the latter is the reason, then it is the city officials responsibility. They let exist an overnight picnic area, where there are campfires in a very serious danger area. The officials were warned repeatedly by letters in the newspapers and at the meeting by residents. They were even in favor of a second campsite at Trancas! Overnight campsites frequently include campfires, even without permit. They are time bombs; only question is when they will blow up! This is what exactly happened now. The city is facing a very strong possibility of a class legal action.
