The Los Angeles County Fire Department has issued a Red Flag Warning for the Malibu area and other portions of the county through tomorrow at 10 a.m., with north to northeast winds expected to reach as high as 25 mph.
The Fire Department says those living in brush areas should report any sign of smoke immediately by calling 911. If you dial the emergency number from your cellular phone, you must know your location.
Fire officials urge extreme caution when operating spark- or flame-producing machinery in hazardous grass or brush areas. Suspicious persons or vehicles should be reported to law enforcement. The Malibu/Lost Hills Sheriff’s Station phone number is 310.456.6652.
