Local author Barbara Billig has released a newly updated third edition of her novel, “The Nuclear Catastrophe,” a fictional novel of survival that was originally published in 1977. The novel, set in Southern California, tells the story of a community faced with a nuclear disaster.
When the Fukushima nuclear disaster occurred in Japan, the first edition was being sold as a used book at various sites on the Internet. The increased interest in nuclear events and renewed attention to the book led to the decision to release an updated edition of the novel. The new edition is available in paperback and as an Amazon EBook.
