I just finished reading the front page story, “Heavy Hollywood hitters back chain store initiative.” Wow, terrific! We no longer have to depend on our duly elected officials to guide the city. Got the cash? You can buy any ordinance you want to put in place in the good old City of Malibu. Who needs a City Council when we have these paragons of virtue, stability and good commonsense to guide us into the future? Perhaps if we ask nicely, they will institute a board of review to oversee the city in its entirety.
