Suspected thieves arrested at gunpoint on PCH

Two men were arrested at gunpoint for vehicle burglary after allegedly stealing from a car Saturday morning on Pacific Coast Highway near Tuna Canyon Road, Malibu/Lost Hills Lt. James Royal confirmed.

At around 10 a.m. Aug. 18, some beachgoers flagged down deputies and reported they saw two males breaking into a car parked on the PCH west of Cross Creek Road. The witnesses gave descriptions of the suspects and their vehicle and explained they drove away eastbound toward Santa Monica. Deputies located the car near Tuna Canyon and pulled over the suspects, where they were arrested for the burglary.

The witnesses later positively identified the suspects as the two men they saw breaking into the car.

It is currently not known what specific items were stolen from the parked car.
